Saturday 25th May Boat Flotilla: Leaving JWD approx. 11am Time TBC Destinations: Power boats please head to Crowne Plaza pontoon near SECC: Approx 12 spaces. NB: Please note that @ SEC Pontoon the bridge height @ MHWS is approx. 3.75m Sailing boats please go to Yorkhill Pontoon to avoid bridges: Approx 18 Spaces. You may need to raft up so please remember your fenders.
Saturday evening 25th Time TBC 7.30pm ?: CSCS Flotilla Gathering @ the stunning Village hotel (riverside) for 3 Course Dinner & disco £25 per head. Skippers and crew needing overnight stay at the hotel, please contact the Village Hotel: 7 Festival Gate, Glasgow G51 1DB: Phone: 0141 375 3202. 10 % discount is available by quoting CSCS. CSCS have arranged a coach to the Hotel from Yorkhill Pontoon and it will also take you back to the boat at 1:10am if you stay for the full night.
Sunday or Monday 27th/28th: Return home @ your leisure.
Who can make a booking Anyone travelling by road or powerboat. Sailboat places are fully booked! Also those who have already made a booking can add additional people to their original booking *Note if you have not paid for a booking you will not be allowed on the pontoons in Glasgow as the club has booked all spaces with Glasgow City Council.
Useful info: Berthing and on-shore facilitates Berthing & Facilities in Glasgow If needed, a berthing plan will be drawn up, to give an indication of how you can all fit in. Sensible changes to this may need to be made according to the time of arrival. There will be security on the Pontoons but Skippers are asked to be vigilant when crews return to boats, especially at night. Yorkhill Yachts: Power & water: 4 X 16 amp ceeform power supplies are located on the main part of the pontoon @ Yorkhill?? . A small-bore fresh water supply will also be provided here. Powerboat Berthing : (Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre) pontoon, outside the Crowne Plaza Hotel (previously known as the “Moat House” hotel). This is located on the north bank, immediately upstream of the Science Centre Millennium Bridge (8.36m, with opening spans). Please note that the Broomielaw pontoon referred to in the guide is no longer accessible to yachts. Water: There is a pontoon at Braehead Shopping Centre managed by the Clydebuilt maritime museum (0141-886 1013). It’s best to phone ahead to let them know if you wish to stop there. Fresh water is available here, and a full range of shops, including Sainsbury and M&S for groceries. Please note: No transfer of flammable liquids will be permitted on the pontoons in Glasgow and there is a single hose pipe for fresh water, so please ensure that you are fully stocked before coming up river.
