Itinerary Saturday 7th July - arrive Campbelltown Sunday 8th July - meet and greet Monday 9h July - arrive port Ellen Tuesday 10 July - visit Laphroaig Wed 11 July - visit Gigha Thursday 12 July - arrive Campbeltown Friday 13 July - Scotia Distillery with buffet and band. Saturday 14 July – Goodbye’s & Disperse.
The event itself is free but there will be out of pocket expenses For example, Campbeltown Marina have confirmed that all boats in this cruise each night will be £15 per night for any length of boat. ( this is a good deal when you think that a 9mtr boat is £20) We will be in Campbeltown Sat 7th July, Sun 8th July and again Thur 12 July and Frid 13th July dispersing on the Saturday. We will be leaving fairly early on the Monday 8th morning from Campbeltown heading for Port Ellen, on Islay. Sadly no confirmation of any discount for using the marina in Port Ellen so charges at this moment are as per website. We will be staying here for Mon 8th July and on Tuesday 9th July. We will walk a mile up the road to visit Laphroaig Distillery, for a price of £10 we will be having a tour plus a few samples and everybody will be given a plot of land on the island. We will be leaving on Wed 11th July, heading for Gigha for the night, we can either have a BBQ or go to the hostelry for a meal. Leaving early on the Thur 12th July heading for Campbeltown and on Friday the 13th July we will go for a visit to the Scotia Distillery for a tour, price to be confirmed later, around £8.00. After the tour the merry SCS will then go to a local venue near the marina for a buffet and a band, courtesy of SCS arranged with the help of the Scotia Distillery.
